48 Stunden Neukölln has, since 1999, been about presenting art; not just to the residents of  Neukölln, but to visitors from the rest of the city and even from all over the world. Over the years,  48 Stunden Neukölln has developed into the largest festival of the arts in Berlin. This year, around 300 events will take place, offering contributions of all imaginable sorts of cultural activities. Additionally, around 100 studios and galleries will open their doors for the festival.
Basic financing for the festival comes from Neukölln district council, the Aktion Karl-Marx-Straße initiative as well as a number of other local sponsors. Nonetheless, the festival can only take place with time and energy of a multitude of volunteers, both as artists and as members of the organisational team.
Unfortunately, financial support for this sort of event does not match its dimensions, as it is meagre. Access to cultural activity is open to all during the festival and there are no plans to change this in the foreseeable future. For this reason, we'd like to appeal for your support: by making a donation to 48 Stunden Neukölln you will support both the artists and the organisational team and show you appreciation for their tireless efforts.
We offer you two different ways to donate to the festival:
1. One way is to purchase a SOLI-button. For a donation of at least €3, you can buy a button  either at an Info Point or at selected other places connected to the festival. By wearing one of these buttons, you show the world that you care about 48 Stunden Neukölln.

2. Alternatively, you can make a donation to our account at betterplace.org all year round. Our goal is to raise the symbolic sum of €4800. By clicking the “Jetzt spenden-Button“ (donate now-button), you'll be connected to a secure donation form. Your donation via betterplace.org is sent directly to us without any additional fees retained and we can send you a receipt for your donation. A donation of any amount of €5 or more is possible this way. If only 1000 of the approximate 60,000 visitors donate something, it would make it possible to improve future festivals.

The donations will be used for:
 2000 to print 30,000 programmes
 2000 to cover helpers' expenses
 500 to print festival posters
300 for the distribution of informational postcards

Thanks in advance for your generosity!
