Chookas Theatre, created by Jessica Nicholls Miniature shadow puppetry for one person at a time. This theatre was constructed with a small suitcase, with a black fabric box that enables one person to peer inside the theatre and see a show. There is a selection of shows and the audience member chooses one from a menu, puts on some headphones, takes a seat, and views inside the theatre. Here they see and hear their 3-5 minute performance. Each Peach Pear Plum, created by Puppet Lab - UK & Ireland tour. This was a children's puppet show based on the book Each Peach Pear Plum by Janet and Alan Ahlberg. Rod puppets were used on a revolving set to tell the story. With each scene the scenography changed and new nursery rhyme characters were introduced, such as Cinderella, Tom Thumb, Robin Hood, among others. Jessica Nicholls and Andrzej Slowik toured this show around the UK and Ireland for six months. What Can I Do?, created by School Performance Tours with Jessica Nicholls This was a puppet show for young people about how to deal with bullies. Using a variety of puppets; marionettes, rod puppets and shadow puppets, an educational story was told about a girl who was being bullied, and the bully himself. Through this fun, interactive performance young people came to understand why some people bully, to gain compassion, and to learn techniques to manage such a situation. Jessica Nicholls solo toured this show in Australia for one year.
